Tigers, Lions, and Pacemaker

Hello, dear readers.

Well, I did have good intentions.  I was happily working on my Tiger Lily Jacket and hit the neckline and after looking at it for a while, to my horror, I messed up the pattern.  Crap.  I just didn't have the heart to start ripping it, yet AGAIN(especially with the bind offs)!!!!

So I ordered a kit from to make a pair of mittens.  At least I'd have something less pattern challenged. LOL  So I'm awaiting that order.

However, last Friday my box came!

We subscribed to Home Chef and checked it out.

This was one of the meals.  Everything is there for you.  No muss, no fuss.  Fresh!
 Just have some fun!

My shipments will come every Friday with 3 meals for 2 people.
Can't wait!

It was delicious!!!

Noticed these flowers blooming out back!
Kinda sick like my DH.

I saved the bad part for the end.

We were told today that DH needs a pacemaker, unfortunate but necessary.  So we're going to take it one day at a time.  He hasn't been feeling well for a while.
He's always had Afib which comes and goes and he learned to live with it.
So now his heart is tired and it needs help!

So I'm not sure about my blog, it will be touch and go for a bit.

Until later...

Knitting the Nordic Way - Stranding

Hello, dear readers !

Well, things have been nuts here.  Would we have it any other way? LOL

I have been knitting, knitting, knitting
AND ripping.....again!

20 Rows gone.....ugh

And back up again!  Maybe this time I got it right?

I'm now still working circular on the back in which the pattern forms a lovely v !
So far so good!  Then shaping the front and maybe I can finish this up tomorrow.
Then on to the arms.

It's still on my mind that I have to CUT this! LOL

Tomorrow I'll show you what I received in the mail this morning and today's adventure.
I think I'm having a thing for Nordic sweaters.

Please visit this website.  They have wonderful free patterns and beautiful wool.  I've selected DROPS 52-17 along with their wool.  When it arrives, I'll make sure I show you!
 Enjoy the evening!

Until tomorrow...

Tiger Lily Jacket

Hello, dear readers!

It's been a month....eeeeeek!
There has been so much going on running to the doctors, running to the doctors, again and again!
It's not been fun, but I'm not going to complain.

So with everything going on health wise, projects have been stopped and started.

I found this beautiful Nordic Tiger Lily Jacket at and I just had to have it.
This pattern was created by Mary Ann Stephens and her wool is just wonderful to work with.

Okay, cast on and go...

I was going along and then stopped to look it over.
I didn't think that I made any mistakes (HA)!

Then, I found it!

So now I'm ripping, ripping, ripping.
What a mess!  I couldn't just leave that mistake.  It's so glaring and especially it's in the front which I'm going to cut it.  CUT IT!!!!!!!
Did I really say that?  These stitches are called "steeks".....eeeeeek!

I've ordered some sewing supplies for a few Christmas presents which I'll show you soon.  I haven't been able to start sewing because I have to clean my sewing room out.  I can't find anything....should take me a month (maybe).  LOL
I'll try to post a little better :)

Until later...
