Christine's Honey Napkin

Hello, dear readers !

Would you believe I was at the last ring and chain and made a mistake, TWICE!
It took me all morning to try and undo it.  I finally gave up and gave it a snip and finally finished it off.
Grrrrrrrrrrr

Now, on to round 6!  It's very basic as it's the same count of rings and chains connected  to each picot. I may have to try and block it soon, I'm hoping the slight curling will straighten itself out.
Not bad for a Sunday afternoon!

Christine's Honey Napkin

Hello, dear readers !

I've begun the  5th row of my "Christine's Honey Napkin."
It's progressing nicely and it does takes a little longer than the previous rounds.

The 5th row has one motif joining and two motifs not joining.
The 6th round consists of tatting rings and chains in every picot.
Heh, don't know how long that will take me.

Still working with my new camera.  I have a lot to learn yet.  I have noticed that some of the pxs look blurry.  Haven't figured it out yet.  I believe there is a button for "shaky hand syndrome" somewhere within the camera.  Haven't found it yet :)

4th Row of "Christine's Honey Napkin"

Hello, dear readers !

I couldn't wait until tomorrow to post this.

I have so many rows to go, I have to keep after it :)

Fourth round completed, on to the next round!  This row will take more time.
Woo Hoo

Christine's Honey Napkin

Hello, dear readers!

Well, it's been pretty cool here for 2 days and today it's hot and moist!  LOL
Air came on so it's heating up again.
I managed to find one of my lizards just hanging around, minding his own business.
We have quite a few that like to crawl up and down the porch.
We like to see them change colors.  This one forgot that he was walking on a white substance. LOL
Amazing!

You'd never know that this cute little dog is the "DOG FROM HELL!"
He also flunked kindergarten in doggie school.
Go figure!

And........drum roll.... ta da......I'm almost finished with the 4th round!

I've renamed the doily as "Christine's Honey Napkin."
This particular doily is at Renulek.blogspot.com.
The pattern is not written out but it's very easy to follow the numbers.
The only thing that I know is that some of the rows will require two shuttles for a row or two.
I'm hoping to finish this round by this evening.
The next round is the same as 3.  As I work on each row, it naturally gets bigger and bigger and takes longer to tat and what it normally takes to do a round at first, it goes very fast.
Until later....

The Honey Napkin - Revisited

Hello, dear readers !

Now that the quilt is almost out the door and in the mail, I tried to finish the third round with success.
I tried twice to get it going without re-threading the shuttle and I kept making stupid mistakes.
But I wouldn't give up!

I'm really enjoying tatting this.
I've tried so many before with different colors.  I really love how this shades.
It's from Handy Hands, Lizbeth thread color Pineapple Parfait, #170, 20 weight.
Even the name "Pineapple Parfait" sounds good enough to eat. Doesn't it?
This completes the third round.
The next round consists of clovers.
They're a lot of fun to do :)
I've got a little bit left on the ball of thread to begin the 4th round.
Will see how it goes.
I ordered 4 balls but I have the sneaky feeling that I'm going to need quite a bit more.
No biggie.

A Frog is Born

Hello, dear readers !
It's done.
All it needs now is some buttons for  frog eyes and it's good to go.

Aaaaaaah, back to my tatting.  I should be finishing up a row.
Until later ...

Binding - the last frontier

Hello, dear readers!

My wonderful husband bought me a brand new camera yesterday.  I can't believe all the functions it has and it has a touch screen to boot!  I have figured out the basic function to take a picture and download it to my pc.  It even connects as Wi-Fi!
So my first picture is of the frog quilt.  I've managed to machine quilt it with stippling in the main portion of the quilt, cut my binding and it's all ready to be stitched.  Maybe today I can finish it?

I'm hoping my new camera will be enjoyable to use.
Until later...
