The Honey Napkin

Hello, dear readers !

I'm still on the hunt for a decent camera as well as a new SanDisk device.

Today I've been working on a new doily (called the Honey Napkin, AGAIN).

If you are interested in making this doily just put a search on "honey napkin."

This time I selected the color Pineapple Parfait size 20 from Handy Hands.
I really like how it's turning out.  It really catches the light in a most pleasing way.
It's slow going and I believe this should keep me very busy, but I'm happy!!!!

This year I didn't think my spider lilies were going to pop.  These are so pretty, they make me smile.

So I'm going to play with the doily.
Until later...

Stipple the Froggie

Hello, dear readers :)
Well, for some reason I had to reformat my memory card for the camera.
I've never done it before and this is the first time.  Go figure.
It's 13 years old!  It needs to go.

I'm trying to take my time with the stippling.  So I got this much done today.
Tomorrow is another day and it's FOOTBALL Sunday!!!!!

I'm going to try and finish the stippling before the early game.
I'm still gonna have to buy a new camera...and a new SanDisk for transfer.
Looking around, but not today :)

Until later....

My Camera Croaked - Ribit

Hello, dear readers :)

Well, I picked out all the paper piecing for my frog quilt.  Took a picture of the mess of papers, then got the quilt ready with batting and backing and pinned the whole thing.  I took a picture of this, too.

Oh, well!  I knew that I needed a new camera.
I've just been saying this and now I really am going to need one.

I apologize for not posting pictures.

So, on that note, I will begin the quilting and search for a new camera.

Until later...

Froggie Quilt

Hello, dear readers :)

It's been a hectic week here.  I've been working on and off to try to finish this frog quilt.  It went together really well and I enjoyed making it.  But, I forgot, that when you paper piece you must remove the paper before you quilt it.  DUH
I think that it's going to take me quite a while, it's slow going.

I'm undecided how I'm going to quilt this.  I'd like to use a metallic thread to make it shimmer a little.  Have to get some buttons for their eyes.
I hope I can get this finished quick and shipped to my daughter.
Gone picking.....LOL

Monday Mania

Hello, dear readers !

I'm having fun, I think. LOL
Still working on several projects but we have to eat, right?

I'm still working on my one pan meals.  I may have showed you this before.
Pasta in a pan?

Thanks to Martha Stewart for this dish.
DH and I really like it.
It's not a heavy pasta sauce but can't you just smell the combination of fresh tomatoes, onion, basil, olive oil,  and garlic? Use your favorite noodles.

You can go to her website:  marthastewart.com and one-pan-pasta.

It's amazing that you can put it all together and bring to a boil.  Make sure you turn the noodles.
I also tried this dish with a can of diced tomatoes.
Can't see any reason why you can't add, chicken or shrimp, can you?

Already boiling.  It takes about 10 minutes and you're done.

Serve with fresh Parmesan cheese.
Delicious!

I  found this in my mailbox today.  Thank you Susan for the lovely gift.
My favorite soap, Lavender.  It smells wonderful.
If you're interested in handmade soaps please go to www.ScotchHillFarm.com.

The soap is made with pure goat's milk with saponified vegetable oils, herbs and flowers.

Dinner

Hello, dear readers!

I'm still playing with a one pan dinner.

Last night I made steaks and crisp potatoes.

I should have marinated the meat though.  It was a little bland.  Potatoes were tasty.

I don't have anything to show you today.  I'm still working on my black and white scarf.
It takes forever to tat.
Until later...
