Okay, I have begun the dance.  It's very interesting what you can do.  I'm amazed.  I"m only at the beginning of my adventure and just can't put it down.  There's a little embroidery there, but there will be more to come.  I found a rose I made for one of my quilts and some fossil ferns leaves that were I'm going to try to add  them tomorrow.

Hop on over to www. and see all the great stuff they have.  Looking forward doing business with them.

Hello to all.  Well, in the midst of trying to get myself organized, the mail arrived!  Woo hoo.  These little gems are size 8 perle cotton by DMC.  They are just luscious, creamy and smooth.  Sounds like a dessert, doesn't it?

Okay, so the heck with housework (UGH) and I started to gather threads and beads and "stuff," and I must admit that it doesn't do too much for me, yet!  But have no fear....I'll think of something.  Well back to work...huh which one do I choose to do now, hmmm? (LOL)

Happy crafting.

Hello, to all Crafters!
I have been very busy for the past couple of weeks.  I have been crocheting, knitting socks, tatting, and everything in between.  This pattern is very old and I've lost it twice and had to reorder gets rather expensive when it's old and cost $1.75 originally. LOL
This is a Leisure Arts pattern and have tucked away some worsted weight wool for the future.  It's fairly very easy and mindless.  So I pick it up when watching the TV on the Chiller channel LOL.

Another observation however.  I have always loved to quilt, tatt, and play with beads.  Soooo to combine them all I found a Christmas stocking that I could incorporate everything I love to do.

So for practice I selected some Christmas fabrics from my stash and hand stitched a very crude "crazy quilt" stocking.  I've been experimenting with different embroidery designs, beads, etc.  I had FUN!  Believe me.

My next venture is to make a stocking with a more organized structure with trims I have ordered from Fantastic website.  So, I'm waiting for some embellishments and trims.  I even joined their monthly club.

So, for the moment, I'm playing with fibers and beads and learning all the great crazy stitches and playing with all the great stuff that goes into it.

Well, I thought I would add a cute teddy bear but the dog decided he wanted to rip him to shreds.  So no teddy for this one.  It was not easy to get the bear from his mouth....he ran around with the paper pattern in his mouth first and then, I found the remains.  Ah me.  Another - back to the drawing board!

I"ll see how far I get with anything tomorrow.  Very tired today.  Trying to get rid of the stress and this is the only way I know how.

Happy Crafting to all. :)

It was a beautiful weekend.  I haven't taken any pictures so far, I'm trying to get everything organized.  However, I do have a wonderful recipe for you that is soooo delicious, if you enjoy chicken.  The dish is on which was submitted by EmilyKFrank.  I cut the ingredients down for 4, but will make it for more next time, it was that good!

For 2:  4 skinless, boneless chicken breast (I found skinless white meat strips, but will try the breasts next time).  1/2 cup sour cream, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon soy sauce (I omitted this), 1 teaspoon celery salt (this too) and 1 teaspoon garlic salt (we like this a lot) dash of pepper and 1/2 package herb seasoned stuffing mix, crushed into crumbs (this was already crushed when bought, so used it as it came out of the bag) and 1/4 cup melted butter.

Preheat oven to 375, lightly grease a baking dish.
In a medium bowl, mix the sour cream, lemon juice, soy, celery salt, garlic salt and pepper.
Dip each chicken breast in the sour cream mixture (who knew?) then roll in the stuffing mix to coat.  A ziplock baggy works great.  Arrange the chicken in the prepared baking dish. (I used a butter spray).
Drizzle with melted butter.

Bake 40 to 50 minutes in preheated oven till chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear.

It was FANTASTIC and OUTSTANDING!!!!!  Juicy and moist with a crunch!  Excellent recipe.  I hope you try it!

Have a bunch of stuff to show you, will get pictures this week.

Happy crafting.
